Hi All

I finally got round to finishing something. This is the 90mm Pegaso painted in the style of a Crusader. I started it in October 2007 and finally got it finished today, still got wet bits on it so once dried I can then apply the final pastel dust to complete the weathering process.

The entire kit was painted in Humbrol undercoat and the rest in oils. All heraldry was painted in enamel undercoat then oils applied. It was a real pleasure to paint as are most Pegaso kits.

Sorry for the bad photography and lighting, any comments welcome

Cheers
Tommi

Beautiful painting Tommi. This has been one of my favorite Pegaso figures and you have really done him justice.

Thanks Guy

Yep is a great figure with so many painting options, it looks better in real life than on the photos, just feels good to get somthing finished at last.

Thanks John, Mateusz, just a shame it does not look the same in the photos as in real life. Still pleased about getting it finished and it looks real nice in the cabinet with all the other figures.

Great work,Tommi.
I really like your version of this figure.
I'd like to see it with a different coloured background
though to let your reds stand out.

Hi Mark

Yes I agree with you fully on the background, my wife mentioned it to me last night. I am going to take some more photos today in natural daylight as the camera flash makes the figure look slightly shiny when it is very matt.

Thanks Alexandre, Damon & Jay for your kind comments. The tunic with the three lions was fun to paint, I really enjoy painting red and the lions were a real challenge, its helping me to build up confidence to painting some more advanced heraldry.:)

Hi Marc, Hardy

Thanks for your comments. It sat on my shelf for a while as well but after staring at it every day I finally got round to making a start on it then could not put it down, so many variations of painting on this great figure.

Yes Hardy it great to get back into the swing of things again, its just getting the time and piece and quiet to hide out of the way for a few hours and get stuck in with the brushes, nearly completed the second figure of 2007-8 cant believe it myself. Will post it up soon.

Cheers
