Pegaso Models new release of the 200mm scale bust of “The Buccaneer” Sculpted by the very talented Victor Konnov and Box art images painted by Diego Ruina.

The kit comprises of seven resin parts and four white metal parts, all cast to a very high standard. All part are supplied in a sturdy box with lots of shredded plastic filling to add protection to all parts during shipping.

A close inspection of the head shows the amazing amount of work that has gone into the creation of the facial character of this piece as well as the excellent quality of casting.

Here we can see the main torso with the head attached, the fit is perfect with a very snug fit and no evidence of any filler needed on the joint.

The hat locates on two depressions on top of the head, fit is excellent, again no evidence of any filler needed round the joint.

The hair and bandanna locate nicely at the back of the head and hide the very small casting line.

Here we can see the hat and hair attached, it’s really coming together.

The belt buckle and belt end locate nicely to the main part of the belt on the torso of the bust.

The white metal pipe that slips through the hole in the hat locates well in the small depression. A very small amount of filler will be needed to blend this into the hat.

There is a small pedestal supplied with the kit that allows you to attach it to a base.

Conclusion:

Another nice release prom Pegaso Models. Very clean cast kit with all parts showing good level of detail and excellent casting quality. A small amount of filler will be needed to blend the pipe to the hat once glued into position. Highly recommended to anyone interested in this period of history.

Great bust, thanks for the close up look Tommi! I think it an interesting decision to make the pipe one piece with the portion of hat attahced to it. I might have done the pipe in 2 pieces and had the hat openings molded in so you didin't have to putty it, but it's a small touch up I guess. Thanks for posting!

HI Jay
Yes my thoughts on this exactly but I guess it’s a minor issue in comparison with the rest of the kit. I think that we will see lots of these on the competition table in the coming months.
