A Fixture
Hi All
This is a forthcoming release from Pegaso Models, due to be available sometime in October.
90mm Spartan Aristocrat sculpted by Gianni La Rocca.
The kit is cast in eleven white metal parts cast to the usual high standard that you see from Pegaso.
The crest on the helmet is a very good fit. The face is very well detailed although most of this will be covered in once the front of the helmet is glued on, only the eyes and mouth need to be painted.
The main torso is cast in one piece and shows a high level of detail, mould seam lines are very minimal to nonexistent, very little clean up needed.
The face guard of the helmet is an excellent fit and the figure really starts to come together once this is in place.
The cloak is cast in one large piece and there is a smaller pice that connects across the front od the chest. Location for this is good with three areas of contact for gluing.
Both of the arms are a good fit with no gaps showing, everything just clicks into place.
The shield is another piece of fine casting the inside shows good level of detail, there is one small piece of spur to remove from the casting process, this should be easy work with a scalpel and file.
The right hand holds the sword, the sword sheath shows some high quality detail in its embossed design
Another excellent forthcoming realese from Pegaso Models, look out for this one in October. This one is going to beautiful to paint, exploring the many painting possibilities for the figure and that shield should turn up some varied and interesting results on the competition tables.
AVAILABLE OCTOBER 2008
