Hi Pf members,

I was wondering, was there any Pegaso release for December?? The last one was that 90mm mounted dakota chief, if I recall. Romeo Models release a figure almost for each range, I was expecting something quite similar from Pegaso... being Christmas and all, and what a nice season where money can be spent without "someone" complaining.

Regards
Pedro

The Dakota warrior is a brilliant sculpture and I would buy it without that stupid eagle thing which ruins it ... don't like it. Looks like a hybrid between Bald eagle (head) and a Golden eagle (feet). Someone did not do his homework when planning this one.

I'd love the Hideyoshi but the pricing will be off the scale alas :( ALso not convinced by the horse armour looks too fantasy for me, I'm more than willing to be proved wrong though. I appreciate there is one pic of it,but not sure of the provenance of said pic

love the chinese horseman and also the indian you can paint the eagle like you want i have withnesd a show live with this birds an they came on the arm of the trainer so it is possible

ronny:) hpe your dream came tru luc

Well 1) it still looks like an impossible creature, the head of a Bald Eagle on the body of a Golden Eagle, and 2) Dakota Sioux were not noted for training birds of prey at shows ... :) So it's a very good awesome sculpture, but the guy who planned the figure isn't very competent on the subject of Indians and birds of prey.

Pegaso certainly put a lot of effort into their products. These all look spectacular but alas, none of them speak to me. The Provocateur pose seems a little strained and doesn't look that real; the Hideyoshi is beautifully sculpted but my previous experience with the cost and complexity of Pegaso mounted figures like this means I won't be going there; the Indian is the least appealing of the group to me as while I like the way the robes have been portrayed, the face does not seem very Sioux-like to me, and the faux falconer pose with the eagle is just pure fantasy - there's no authenticity about it at all; the bust looks very finely sculpted and executed but I'm not into napoleonics.

I'm sure though that many others will welcome these and have fun with them.

The Dakota warrior is for me a wonderfull piece. I'm not so into the Native Americans but I can apreciate this figure.
The Lancer is perfect for me (I see myself painting more and more napi's). But it looks to much at the Andrea Lancer bust.

I am very pleased with this month release. Three of these figures will be joining my collection. Very well done Pegaso.

BTW I can not agree with you Marc about the Lancer. It is beautiful sculpt. The face is very Slovakian in my opinion. It is cut at the right height. It is not cut in the half like Andreas bust. Just look at the arms. Andreas one looks more like a half figure.

Since it was me that started this thread I think I might give my opinion :) To start, I expected something more of my taste, which doesn't mean that I can't appreciate the figures right? Regarding the Gladiator, It's the right scale for me, nice sulpt, but don't like much that theme and it's similar to several others. The Indian, I guess is nice, maybe in the future I might do one indian figure, however I like more of the 75mm indians range of Pegaso... As for the Samurai, I like samurais (never did one though), the fact it's mnted has it's pros and cons(the price!!), but someone here doubted of the historical accuracy of the horse armour...well I can't be sure about that, but Andrea has a similar 54mm figure of the same person, and has exactly the same horse armour: http://www.andrea-miniatures.com/es...hideyoshi-1582.html#!prettyPhoto[gallery1]/1/ , so maybe it's right...2 major brands with exactly the same error?? Doubt it! But don't hold my breath. As for the Bust, It's a theme that I like, it seems nice.... and I don't compare it to the Andrea one to see which one it's better... I guess both are fine, so if I was into busts I would buy them both and put'em together, side by side; My only cath is the painting...don't like it a bit...

Ok, I'd like a little rant on this topic now if that's OK? My rant doesn't refer to the merits of the current figures on offer which are absolutley suberb pieces of course.
Pegaso can always be relied upon to come up with simply stunning pieces for us to spend our money on.
But my rant involves the fact that every month, or whenever a new product is released, the Pegaso thread always begins with someone saying "Are there any new relaeases from Pegaso"??!
Why is this forum, and it's members considered, the last to know whenever a new product is released. It's like we have to beg to get any info on new products.
I can only speak for myself but I'm starting to feel that because I'm a Planet figure forum member I'm considered to be some scumbag that wouldn't be able to afford or appreciate what they have to offer anyway.
Why do we have to painfully extract information from the company about what products they have to sell.....where I come from we'd call that having your head up your arse.
