I think I posted this before but tried some new pictures

It’s pigment related..most will fare better..been used on canvas for long enough...after all, paint is pigment, carrier, binder...and if the pigment is lightfast will be fine...with watercolours the pigment is diluted....and many used still aren’t lightfast..we don’t always follow best practices in our hobby anyway, with over thinned paint films using excess white spirits, lean over fat...not allowing an oiling out...but in our lifetimes does it matter-not. The colour sink of oils happens tho..and we still can use alizarin, indigo- more fugitive.
 
If you want to go full anorak, check Natural Pigments website..George ohanlon writes treatises, and was prominent in proving how zinc white causes cracking...

There's some excellent paintwork in there Ron. I admire anyone who can work through something that complex and get that result.
