Spine chilling...and thus superb sculpt. As I am (intentionally) a complete(or the next best thing) stranger to fantasy painting,I would like to see a PF member who likes this kind of figures work his/her magic on this one. With the correct treatment this figure can produce a fantastic,nightmare-ish,award winning piece.

Oda.

Absolutely hideous. Love it. Must buy

Brilliant

Going through a morbid stage right now

As I love this kind of thing, when I saw a post about this, I had to have one. A malevolent scarecrow skeleton with a scythe... what's not to like?:sneaky:

As I'm still staying at my beter half's whilst the window and cladding work at my flat runs ever more over time, I am only doing the basic work on this at the moment, seeing as I have brought some paint, but not my bench (right work height and posture), nor my lights. And let's not start about the lack of worktop space, and having to clean it all away between sessions.....:cry:. Still, not painting at all is not an option :D.

Apologies for the appalling photos, but as all my camera... oh, you get the gist

Thank you Oda and Kev.

I'm planning on pushing myself on this one, by going big on the highlighting and shadow work, working on my brush technique, rather than relying on washes and drybrushing. I'm also consciously aware, that I have become rather "spoiled"; being in the fortunate position to have a dedicated room in my flat. It is good to get back to basics once in a while. I like to do a similar thing with armour building, it's all big fun to build an all singing and dancing model with photoetch, metal barrel, individual track links and the latest mold technology and 800+parts, but I love building older (some are 40+years old) Tamiya kits in a few evenings, pretty much out of the box, and using paint and weathering techniques to make them look good.
