Just a great vignette happening here...whenever I see or hear about combat photographers, I always think of Sean Flynn, Errol's son, who was MIA in Viet Nam.
Full of action and wonderfully sculpted....

I really like this but to the best of my knowledge they were not allowed to carry weapons. Even official army photographers.

That's not true, there were many military photographer that carried weapons! first rule was soldier first photographer second and always a grunt at mind!

Keep in mind that we are talking about military and not civilian photographers.
