Just about finished this off a few bits and bobs left here and there but calling it done. Gave him the arms of William Marshall to break up the plain crusader livery. Base is one of Chippy's nice driftwood ones http://www.thebase2b.co.uk/

Fascinating character, William Marshall, who did indeed serve in the Holy Land, alongside, but not as, a Templar (although he did die a Templar) for a year.

Nicely finished piece.

Thanks Mike, I did toy with idea of giving him the Templar cloak as a nod to his death bed ordination into the Templars but thought that was a touch too much of a mish mash of heraldry I'd bastardised history enough at that stage I felt
