Piper Daniel Laidlaw VC, 1915

Just finished this one from Tommy’s War in 54mm: Daniel Laidlaw of the KOSB’s who won the VC at the Battle of Loos in 1915. Painted up in the usual oils and acrylics:

Lovely job. I always view the photos shrunk down to true size to get the feel of the paint job and this looks fantastic. There's just something that I love about 54s!

All this, exceptional work! I have never tried to paint tartan and I cannot imagine how difficult it would be. This figure is fantastic and all under two inches tall!!!
