I confess I was uninspired and should have painted the lamplight. But worth the record.

Nice and tidy work.
Maybe a few more highlights and shades on the next one, but overall he is looking very well.
Nice details on the lantern particularly.

Painting the light and its illumination on the bust is very difficult, but there have been some remarkable examples of this. Try and find the one by Dimitrios (jimias) of some years ago.
