Hi folks,

Im working on a project at the moment for a grouping based around the Scots Fusilier Guards at the Battle of the Alma, 1854. I need to establish where the officer would be placed relative to the colours in the front rank. Would he be between the colours, to the side (if so, which side?) or behind the colours?

If anyone is able to give me any info, I would be very grateful, thanks - in this instance, Google has not been my friend!!(y)

It was usually an officer (Ensign) that carried the colours, Steve, which officer do you mean?

Cheers Steve. I've currently got three figures, regimental colour bearer, Queens colour bearer and an officer with a sword and I'm not sure how to place them as a group. There are other figures too, but not sure on position of the three mentioned...!

Hi Steve

If it was me I would put the colours together with the Officer with sword to the left if he's right handed

Just my thoughts

Hope we see this project here on PF

Happy benchtime
