Hello, All -
Anyone have advice for me on prepping a plaster bust for painting with oils?

Earlier this year, I had some success with gypsum cast busts by first coating with the product formerly known as Future floor polish (acrylic stuff).

I am glad for any and all ideas.

The following seems to work on sealing plaster enough to take paint -- one coat of Future floor polish airbrushed on. Twenty fours later, another coat applied with wide, soft craft brush.
So far, both enamel and oils seem to be going on in a usual manner and drying appropriately.

Mix one part Weldbond with five parts water. This makes a porous surface sealer and primer.
