Hello everybody!

Today I would like to show You my latest work for Super Model Modeller's Magazine. It's Polish Infantryman ( September 1939) figure from Adalbertus Miniatures in 120 mm scale. I've painted this miniature because of 76 th anniversary of the Beggining of World War Two. It's soldier of the 11th Carpathian Riflemen Division, which compltely wiped out 1st Batallion of SS Germania Regiment at Mużykowice village near Jordanów 15th-16th September 1939. I've used some Lifecolor paints (Polish Uniform wz. 36 and Polish Equipment Light Khaki) to imitate real colors as accurately as it was possible. I didn't wanted to make any experiments on this one - just simple, clean paint job. Unfortunately I can show You just this one photo, because all of them will be in magazine.

Hope You like him!
Let me know what You think, dislike, like etc.
Cheers.

Brilliant painting, Patryk. This figure is on my wishlist too - even more so now that I've seen the top job you've done here.
I hope that once the magazine is published you will update this thread with more photos, as I would definitely like to see more. Lovely work mate.

Thanks fot Your comment Nick, I'm glad You like him (his one color uniform wasn't as easy to paint as I thouht! :) ). Of course, I will post more photos soon (next week I think).

Figures from the early days of WW II are still rare. I like your result although I personally prefer non-static figures that tell a story. The way he holds his rifle and the helmet don`t tranlsate the weight of these items too much into his body language. Otherwise crisp details and a nice paintjob. Congratulations!
Cheers, Martin

Thanks Martin, glad You like it. I also prefer more dynamic figures, but unfortunately there aren't many figures of Polish soldiers so I had to paint what I got from magazine editors.
