That's the one. I am not familiar with the sculptor. What other things has he done if anybody knows?

He did the "Road to Damascus" diorama that was at Chicago last fall. I'm sure you remember it. It was the IDF diorama with several scratchbuilt figures on it. It took up an entire endcap.

What were these idiots thinking? What did they plan to do when they got to the tanks - hit them with sabers? I suspect few got as close as the dio portrays in the face of machine gun fire.

The scene portrayed apparently never happened, it was just a fabrication of some "Italian jounalist ". I'm not to knowledable about the myth but I'm pretty sure it never happened. If you read the posts further down the page some more news is there.

Thank God! Otherwise I was starting to think all the Polish jokes were true.
