Polish Winged hussar feathers

Was there any significance in the feather's that the above used.( Colour etc)

But it would appear the wings were from birds of prey, ie eagle feathers.

Ralph,
The site 'Husaria' also mentions vulture and falcon feathers, so your colour choices are somewhat increased.
