Roy's study of a wandering Ronin is the best. Hands down. Nothing in this poll will better it. I can say this without even seeing them.

Although here I voted for the Pegaso 90mm Samurai. Not really my period or anything, but it's converted me! It's one of the figures that has a real WOW factor.

My vote would go to the Elite 70mm French Line Infantry Lieutenant 1870, or the Teddy Bear Tea Party. But alas, I don't see either listed. :)

I voted Pegaso's Templar with Latorre's Saxon a close second. That is just my opinion as I like the cut of the jib of those two figures.

Would have been PiliPili's Highlander if I'd never seen that Templar from Pegaso. That figure has a brooding prescence that just makes you want it..............

Im kind of missing a few.

Elites Prussion officer.
Pegaso Germanic Warrior.
S&T American Paratrooper.
(I hope all of them were released 2005)

To name a few.

Perhaps one should sort them by scale as well.

Cheers

Hi folks!
Sorry, can't vote for any of them since I haven't bought any of those listed on the poll and I can't/won't base my vote on publicity photos. MY personal favorite is the 120mm USMC Flame Thrower on Iwo Jima from The Regimental S-4. I have that one and it is fantastic! Also, didn't see ANY of of Alan Ball's Northeastern Indians on the list. Tsk, tsk.
Out!

I think a lot of exceptional work has been shut out of the running, some of which folks made mention of. I would think the Franco Prussian French officier from Elite and the Germanic from Pegaso should easily have made the cut. ;) ~Gary

From the list PiliPili's Highlander. I'll pass on the Templar even with a cowl. I always felt historically they were too arrogant to 'brood'.

As I sit here, I am looking at my finished Pegaso Templar, and I have to say it is my vote for figure of the year. I think the pose captures the very essence of arrogance which one might expect from a member of this order. Besides, it's so perfectly rendered (to my eye) that I can't help but cast my vote for this figure.

Interesting list. I agree, quite a few unexpected absences, in particular Stefano Canone's beautiful French Infantry Officer FPW

It isn't surprising that Pegaso's Templar is in and leading the field, it is certainly an excellent piece. It got my vote (in the absence of aforementioned Frenchman)

Cheers

Phil
