This one is now finished. My first acrylic only attempt at flesh painting. The hair was glazed with inks and oils. Needs a decent base one day too.

Thanks again to everyone.
Nap as far as my flesh palette is concerned I use the following Jo Sonja colours

Alizarin crimson, burnt sienna, cadmium scarlet, red earth, unbleached titanium, ultramarine blue, yellow oxide and burnt umber

I usually make up a basic flesh tone with burnt sienna, yellow oxide and unbleached titanium. ( this last colour is a warm white which I prefer to a pure titanium white). I then adjust this base colour with a little alizarin and or cadmium scarlet if I want a more pinky tone. As a general rule I try to follow the scheme of keeping the lower face in cooler tones, the middle area more pinkish and the forehead slightly more yellowish. Having said that there are cool blue hints around the eyes and the temples. I try to avoid pure white except perhaps for the smallest hint in the highlight where the eye socket meets the edge of the nose. In this particular project my first efforts ended up a little too pale so I found that a very thin wash of red earth over the whole face warmed up the tones very nicely. I also find that using alizarin crimson and cadmium scarlet in mixes and applied in a pointillist style create interesting variances in the warmest pink tones on the cheeks and around the base of the nose.
