Poste Militaire Spares. I am looking for some parts for the mounted Poste Militaire French Dragoon. I have emailed Bonaparts three times and not received any reply. Does any body have parts in their spares box or an old figure that l can strip down? Mike Hanson

Hi Mike

Not received any emails from you regarding missing parts, email address is [email protected], please let us know what you need and I can give you a price.

Thanks
Paul

Based on recent posts it seems that a lot of emails may well have gone missing ......... still it's good to note that Bonapartes have shifted their position from their previous stance

"........................ As for the eBay comment, it was intend for people that buy second hand kits on places such as eBay with missing parts and then expect the manufacturer to replace them free of charge, when they sold the original kit many years ago. You would not expect it in other business sectors."
Thanks
Paul

Hi Del

When you say other recent post would that be the one where people assumed it was us, only for Steve to clarify it was another supplier?? Also stance is the same that we will happily replace missing parts from kits purchased from us Free of charge and where possible supply parts for kits purchased elsewhere or lost by customer at a cost.

Thanks
Paul

And on the post you attached, I was away for half term and replied to Chris on my return, but see he has now found the parts for free, so even better for him.

The quote is yours from an earlier thread where you for some reason switched a positive into a swipe at modellers simply looking for assistance

As illustration here's my email to your company sent on 25/10/14 at 11:27 to which I received no reply

I picked up your re-issue of PM’s Macbeth at the Bring and Buy stall at the Glasgow Show last weekend.
Unfortunately the NOSE GUARD was missing, not from the kit but lost by the seller.
I was wondering if it is possible to get a replacement part from you?

I was tempted to just fill in the locating hole but the nose guard is key to the ‘look’ of the figure.

If possible can you let me know, along with the associated cost and I’ll send off payment.

Best regards
Derek

Hi Derek

I know the eBay quote is mine and stand by it. As a business we would need to establish that the kit was bought from us for a free replacement. I have found your email and it is marked as read with no reply, so I can only apologise for not replying, not sure what happened there!

Thanks
Paul

I also contacted Bonapartes for missing parts, and this several times, I had bought figurines directly home.
Now I have to incomplete figures, no answers, and unfortunately the stunning news make me desire.
But given the customer service, I spend my money elsewhere.
This is unfortunate because the busts and figurines are beautiful.

Hi Zastrow

As you previously quoted, you have bought our figures from Chuck at Red lancers and any missing parts Chuck has, we send through to him.

Thanks
Paul

One word: "Goodwill".

Case in point: I recently damaged a key part (an arm) on a figure that I'd bought from Ian Hanratty at Wee Friends. Entirely my own fault. I had bought it directly from him at a show a couple of years earlier, but I had no way of proving that and I don't really know him personally, so he wouldn't have remembered me and just had to take my word for it. I e-mailed him explaining what had happened and he offered to replace it for the cost of postage (fair enough), or free of charge if I collected in person from the Huddersfield IPMS show. I did the latter because I was attending Huddersfield anyway.

Pegaso, Soldiers and others also have a good and proven track record of replacing missing or damaged parts, no questions asked and completely free of charge because I think they understand that probably 99.9% of modellers are honest and on the level, and that customer service of that kind oils the wheels and only boosts their reputation (and thus ultimately their business) in the long term.

But whatever works for you Paul. If as you say in the other thread you have had "nothing but positive feedback", maybe it's all the other guys who are getting it wrong. ;)
