Hi to All.......

This must be my craziest venture to date.......ok I might have repainted some of my figures before but that sword kept cutting my fingers & it just drove me nuts......

Some might ask me why I bothered to do what I did (repainted all the previous leather covered metal parts in metal)?

Gary Gates and Dr.Mike Thomas of MedRom Forum expertly pointed out that I was not Historically correct in painting said items in leather, so I could never live with the guilt of letting this pass me by, I just rolled up my sleeves and did it!

It was not easy by any means because as I said before I was faced with a very awkward situation now the whole figure was on the base!! But either thru the slump I hit ealier on or thru sheer craziness I somehow managed a decent touch up!!

To get the bronzed silver effect I base coated with Lifecolor's chain metal (acrylic).....then I pasted with W&N Burnt Umber oil and removed the excess......Highlights were applied with Silver Printers Ink + dab of Burnt Umber........

Hope this satisfies any questions and please forgive me for staying away from the pc........It's just a slump that hits everyone of us from time to time!!

I've started on a few projects for Euro '07 and will be posting again soon!

Regards to all,

Ray

P.S. I'm waiting for my slump period to come. Wonder when that will happen :):)

Ray,

Very impressive, since you had to redo the leathers and turn them to metals. Very difficult work, and expertly done.

Cheers and great job,

Kyle
