Hello fellow figure modelers. This is to introduce our new figure company NEW WORLD MINIATURES.

Our purpose is to provide you figure enthusiasts with the very high quality figures of original subjects at reasonable prices. Our plan is to produce resin figure kits in 1/35 scale, 54 mm and 1/16 scale. We may eventually expand into other scales as need and opportunity arises. We plan to use the best sculptors and the finest casting techniques to insure that you get what you want. This is a "by modelers for modelers" venture.

We will be entering the market soon with an original 1/16 scale figure by John Rosengrant of a WWII Marine in the Pacific on the corner of an M4A2 Sherman. as a "wedgie". We hope you like it as much as we do. We are planning on many new exciting releases in 1/35 scale to complement the large number of new kits coming out these days. Watch this site for new products.

We appreciate your interest in our new line and hope to call you customers as well as friends when the new line is debuted. We hope that this notice will make you want to see more. We want your feedback and appreciate any ideas and critiques of our products.

Chris Mrosko
President, New World Miniatures

Wishing you all the best for this new venture Chris..!!
Kicking off with a figure by John Rosengrant is pure class.

Look forward to seeing your new range.

All the best...Roy.

I always appreciated a domestic line for U.S. figures. After all, what with all the materials, resources, references, museums, clubs, shows, and the like.

Just a few tips of advice and feedback...

* The Warriors AT-4 and radiomen are now very hard to find. Most of the online retailers don't stock them anymore (OOP) so I'd appreciate if "New World Miniatures" (NWM) could have a longer production run so that these figures will be more available. Or at least rebuild the molds so that the figure sets can always be produced again in the future.

* Accessories: Many times modelers don't want the full figure, but the guns, gear, and heads of the figure--and lots of it. Offering accessory sets is a nice way of adding NWM parts to other kits and figures, or the option of buying arms or individual parts. I realize that this may wear down the molds, but modelers do like to "pick a part" if possible.

* I really like pin-to-hole figures if in parts now or single-casts, if possible. I find gluing limbs together with superglue just isn't as strong as pin-to-hole or single-cast figures. That's just my opinion.

* Most, if not all, figure modelers like to see the figure built and painted for the box art photo (like the Warriors, Verlinden, and Hobby Fan offerings). Sorry, guys, but that's just how it is.

Good luck and congrats!
Pete

Hi Chris,

All the best with the new company. Sounds like you have some really interesting products in the pipeline. I'm looking forward to seeing the figures.

cheers,
michael

Congrats, Look forward to seeing your kits. You have been involved with several other great companies, Kirin, Warriors, etc, so I know we can expect some nice kits. Great that you can start out with a 1/16 project by John R. I noticed you kept referring to "we". Would I be out of line asking about the others involved in the new company?
