Hi Planeteers!!!

I don't post images from my works for many decades!!!http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/images/icons/icon12.gif

Here I go again!!!!http://www.planetfigure.com/forums/images/icons/icon6.gif

Its a figure of a now defunct brand "The Fusilier" in 75 mm.(1/24 scale).

Painting the body
Doing the groundwork, I discover that I don't have maple leaves in 75 mm in the market. Some day in a stationary shop, I discover some paper punch and die for schoolkids homework. I buy some, and then, I compare my hand with a actual leaf and some leaves punched with the figure hand and the scale leaves match perfectly!!!
And I figure out too that the actual leaves can be punched and I did the scale leaves with the real material!!

Here the finished work!! The figure was painted with Andrea, Vallejo and Duncan and Americana acrylics. And the groundwork have products from Heki, Faller, Kamizikuri, Plus model, a real tree branch (for the tree)and roots.

Thanks, Gordy!!

Gordy:

Thank you for your kind words!!!

The first stamper (maple leaf one) I buy it some years ago in a stationery stand in a International Book Fair, here in Buenos Aires!! The other two buy it in a stationery shop. In don't know the origin, very probably a Chinese stuff!!!

I hope some day, manufacturers for dioramas accesories made some of these stampers in 1/32 and 1/35 scale!!!!

Thanks again!!

Nice work on your figure. With the red piping, you are indicating your figure is an ulan with the 2.G.U.R. For this particular unit, the "guard eagle" on the tschapka and the tunic buttons would be in brass and the guard star on the eagle in silver. Also, there are some additional piping that should be painted around the collar, bottom of the cuff and bottom of the ulanka, and the collar tab would be in red. As a reference, this is an officers ulanka for U.R.19 (Wurttemberg), but it is the same as the tunic for your figure (but you would have no cyphers on the shoulder boards and the buttons in brass).

For your kind words about my work!!

Dave: thanks for the info. It's hard to find for me, historic info about the uniform!! I take some info for figure painting only from color guide box and some old Ospreys books!!

Thanks again!!

charly, muy buen trabajo en esa figura.
Me gusto mucho las luces que le hicistes.
Yo se que el post es un poco viejo pero muy muy bueno.

Great work! I learn from these photos, so keep posting! Leaf punch can be found at any Michael's in the scrap book area (USA). Sometimes can be found at Dollar Stores also.
