I finally got my order in from Dick Blick. It included some smaller brushes and acrylic inks. The inks are very thin but surprisingly powerful. I' starting to get the hang of mixing them, but it seems very touchy.
I have some other questions though for those that know about them.
How do you keep them from drying too quickly and how do you cut down the shine?

I have had success with cutting down the shine, by diluting inks, but generally speaking I use them because they have the properties of acrylics and have a sheen.

Vallejo glaze medium, or W&N acrylic blending medium and for the shine. Good old Tamiya X21 or Reaper anti shine medium.

Thanks Carl, can I apply it after painting, or do I have to mix it in with the ink as I am painting?
How do I keep the inks from drying up so fast?
I think he answered you by suggesting the W7N blending , i believe you can also use the Vallejo dry retardant medium.
I have inks and i have the retardant but haven't try on the inks.
I will give it a try and let you know the results.
Cheers

I use a lot the inks from Andrea and Valejjo.
The Andrea ink is more shining than the Valejjo, and a god way to make it mat is diluting with wather.
One of mi favorites use for inks is to make metal efects, sometimes on the metal without any primer.
