I'm starting to do a little more to my 1/8th scale predator figure and need some advice on scratch building the clothing as well as some of the other stuff. First of all I would like to know on the figure itself there's some fishnet like webbing that the predator wears. My question to all of you is this, how would someone replicate that fishnet like webbing? If anyone has seen any of the predator movies you know what I'm talking about.
Thank you
Chris

You can buy fine and malleable wire mesh from art shops. "Real" sculptors use it for armatures or forms. I used it for the general's bicorne you see in my avatar. As the right mesh would have the right texture, you would have a double win of texture and ability to drape the material.

I know people have used the type of mesh bags you get onions and oranges in, might be a bit hard to get the right size as your Predator is a bit smaller in scale than most. Another item is Verlinden(and maybe others) make a camo type netting used for armour dioramas, this may work. Best of luck, as I know it wont be an easy job to get looking right

The plastic net bags that oranges and nuts come in, especially at Christmas.
I have a stash saved for my halcyon predator.

You can find that kind of mesh used for produce here in the States, too. That's a great idea, I think that would work very well.

Prost!

The predator netting varied, this is a full size example
The netting attached is from food carriers
You should be able to find a match to your scale.
I have a fine white one and the knots are not so prominent as on the orange bag below, I prefer the knots.
Also look on wine bottle shelves
Chestnuts and mixed nuts will be on sale soon in these type of bags
Think that is what you are looking for
