Hi all,

... of the existing 120mm figures that represent subjects of the American Civil War, which ones are the best money can buy ?

I do have some of the excellent Michael Roberts Ltd figures, but I was also looking for some 120mm figures ...

Verlinden ?

S&T Products ?

Other ?

Thank you Johan for asking the question and Matthew for the answer. It saved me asking it.:D
I also like the MR Ltd. figures 100mm but haven't yet moved up to doing a 120mm. However it's only a matter of time.:)

Thanks, Matthew for your answer, and YW Billy eh... Roger :)

OK.

Got the 100mm 20th Maine from Michael Roberts, this is really very representative of any Union infantryman I believe ... Could be any US infantry private of that period if you change the small insignia on the forage cap...

Also got the 1st Texas infantry figure ... now that's a superb one, superb pose , the face is great, the insignia on the forage cap very accurate - just wondering about some uniform details here ... the sky blue facings on the collar and cuffs of the grey tunic, aren't these supposed to be a very dark colour for Texas regiments ?? Dark Blue? Green? Black? Same with the trousers, shouldn't there be a wide stripe of some dark colour along the seams ?? But I may be wrong here ... Don't know that much about confederate uniforms ...

So, the S&T figures are good , eh ... :)

... Ok I have an idea here .... :)

... I have the Michael Roberts Ltd rebel standard bearer on order. Great figure eh ! :)

Also, I've decided to go for the S&T Prod Union AND confederate soldiers ...
am already figuring out appropriate groundwork : the Union soldier marching past in a scenery with a fence or some other sign of human settlement, the rebel in a wild scenery untouched by men - he'd look nice in a section of forest as it still could be found then in the southern states.... maybe with a dead tree or so...

Ah well this is going to be good ! :)
