Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask a couple of questions on sculpting tree bark using epoxie sculpt.First of all, can you sculpt bark on a tree using the epoxie sculpt?
Once you make the main form for the tree itself can you then adhere the epoxie sculpt to the form of the tree?
What I mean by the form is this, think of a tree that has its bark completely been stripped off. So then I would be able to sculpt the bark using the epoxie sculpt as the bark, would this be correct?
If anyone knows of a better way to make realistic trees in this scale please tell me.
Thank you

Chris,

Try making the basic framework of the tree by twisting bundles of (copper)wire together. Form the branches, then individual twigs by using progressively smaller pieces of wire. Once you are happy with the form, you can add a thin smear of putty over it then texture with tools, or impressing with actual bark to form the pattern. As with most things, try experimenting!
