Rating, Naval Division, Antwerp, 1914 - Doubt

Hi,
I'm painting the Rating, ND from Tommy's but I'm not sure how the puttes are closed on the side: all leather, leather straps with a cordon running top to bottom,....

Does anyone have a picture of it so I can the closing system correctly and their materials?

Hi all,

Although housecarl gave me a hand some questions still remain on the figure the puttes are closed with a strap top and bottom but between then runs a 'cord'. Is it of leather also? a side image would be helpful.
