Hello all -
I am re-entering the world of miniature figures after a several decade hiatus and have just joined PF. Years ago I worked strictly with Series 77 and Poste Militaire 90mm figures. I see that Series 77 is no longer in business (a sad loss) and that Poste Militaire figures are hard to find - Bonaparte being the primary supplier. However, there is a pretty severe thread on PF about Bonaparte's poor shipping habits and somewhat questionable customer service. This brings me to my questions: 1) Can any one recommend a 90mm metal (Napoleonic) kit company which is of comparable quality to Poste Militaire? 2) I have no experience with resin kits and wonder if they have benefits, and, if so, who are the highest quality 90mm resin kit companies? 3) Have you had positive shipping experiences with Bonaparte to counter the negative thread? I thank you in advance for any suggestions anyone can offer. This type of forum was not available several decades ago and appears to be an incredible resource! (By the way I use oil paints - if that has anything to do with using resin figures). Thanks again.
