Recommendations requested for 75mm animals

Hi. I wonder if anyone has any recommendations. I'd like to add a small domestic animal to this scene by Dark Miniatures. It's 75mm scale, so maybe any of the following scales would suffice: 70-80mm, 1/24, 1/25, G, or 1/2". I'm thinking dog, cat, rabbit, large bird... something of that sort. Maybe a goat or sheep. The young of any of those would be perfect. But here's the thing:

It has to be a species found in the Middle Ages in northeastern Europe/Russia. A Husky might be close enough, but the common species up there seem to have been Spitzes and long-haired cats.

Metal, resin, or styrene are preferable to vinyl/soft plastic. Crisp detail and lifelike proportions are a must. I'm almost sold on the one in "Comrade in Arms" by Nuts Planet, but it might just be too big... it's a huge risk as money is tight. When the project is done, I want to send it in the mail on November 1 - so time is short too.

Any thoughts would be most deeply appreciated!

Wow, Andrew, that's almost perfect! Thank you! I love the pose. I'm going to order one. But even so... alternatives are still requested because of space limitations. This might work, but it might not. I'll let you know but please chime in if you have any other thoughts.

Thank you, Mirofsoft! I hadn't seen the two Scale75 kits before (although I think the bull terrier came with Patton, yes?) - I'm definitely considering it too. But it raises a question for the dog-people out there.

I have a lot of experience taking care of dogs, but never owned one. I don't know what to make of this pose without seeing it from different angles. Is it meant to be running/jumping? I can't tell if it's on the hunt, in a fight, or gently offering a paw. The tongue makes me think he's at full speed, but I could change that detail. I suppose the tail might be frozen in mid-wag - but is there another way to read the tail position?

Have you considered Schleich animals? I know these are in soft plastic but they are about in the right scale and fairly cheap.

Hi, Victor. Thank you so much for suggesting it. I'm not familiar with that line; can you tell me a little more? They might be useful to me for other things (I sometimes teach painting for kids for example), but I have to say soft plastic won't do in this particular project, for lots of reasons I won't bore everyone with But I'm curious to learn more...

Hi, peedee. As it happens, this is the kit that sold me on the idea to add an animal... but I passed on it. I'm reconsidering it now. For this scene, the middle dog is the only close species but his pose is very static and solitary (he's not interacting with her). The two cats are good; I might be able to lengthen the hair with putty or something. In a perfect world, I'd be able to create an "oops" moment where the animals have gotten into the paint bowls. The jury is out on this kit. Thank you very much for thinking of it!
