Does anybody know of any equivilants (or close to) to these colours in oils or how to mix? I am trying to reproduce the Liqutex "sandlewood" acrylic colour.

I've sort of covered the issue with earths in the past from one or two directions - both red and yellow iron oxides vary a great deal but as a basic start you need to look for the pigments PR101 and PY42. What these'll be called is another story - Red Oxide, Light Red, English Red, Mars Red... and Yellow Oxide, Gold Ochre, Mars Yellow... (even some Yellow Ochres will be made from PY42 too but even if it's the real thing, PY43, it would still be fine to use).

Not to confuse things but at a pinch you could mix Sandalwood from other ingredients if you had to, it's just a greyed pink of medium value isn't it? If so many combos would be capable of reaching the right colour - white, red, yellow and black; white, red, yellow and blue; white, red and green.
