This is a 1/12 scale resin figure, the basis of which was a generic fantasy figure from Solarwind Productions. With help from some members here, I tried for the first time some scultping with a combination of green stuff and Apoxi Sculpt. The armour discs are actual metal, found as the contents of an ankle weight.

I also tried something different for the skintones, by following the old masters method of Verdaccio. Though I think (perhaps wrongly), it was done more to study tones in monochromatic, the green is a good colour for shadow areas, being a complimentary of red.

One final note, I tried to be as honest as possible to the classical image of this heroine, but did some artistic license by providing her with some green under garments, and omitted any type of shoulder gear, which she usually does wear.

Hi jack,
That is some impressive sculpting and painting, superb
Best wishes

I like it. I an inspired to try the same type of conversion. I think your version is as good as any, with or without the shoulder gear, which looks kinda funky to me anyhow. They have this fig in 1/6 scale as well, hmm....
Well done!

Gra30, JasonB and John, thanks for those positives words, much appreciated.

Jason, that'd be cool to see a larger figure converted into Red. Also interesting to see how you'd handle the sculpting. Not sure your take on the boots, but if I had to do them again, I'd add some talc powder to the tops. This way, once the top section is flipped down, they are still be pliable and able to adjust to give a more characteristic flare. They way I did it, once flopped down, the putty was stuck in position.

Jack
