Hi everyone, well the title says it all.
I just start in smal Figures (70-75mm) coming from Garagekits, I work mostley in 1/6 or 1/8 scale. So I know best Resin.
Soon I will produce a few small Figures, and I have now decide to make them in Metal. Hope this wasnt a mistake? I see more and more Resin Minis.
Well for you maybe 75mm are not Minis, but for me they are :D
So what do you like most in this scale ?
If I ever continue to produce in this scale, what medium will I have to choose ?
The Figures will come from comic Universes, Pin-Ups, Fantasy etc...
I am equiped for Resin, but White Metal is an "Out House production"
Thanks for any comments

Preference for resin here too, except in the case the figure has metal armour or helmet. The polished white metal with oil/ink washes can be a very realistic way to finish these. It's difficult to beat metal when painting metals!

I don't think there is any doubt that resin casting is superior to White Metal, my opinion based on seeing the same figure cast in both mediums. Having said that my own preference is for White Metal as it seems to give the finished result more substance, but for all the reasons listed above by others If I was in your shoes I would go for Resin.

I prefer resin for the same reasons as said above, postage being a big issue, specially living here in Australia. Having said this, I will work in both as it really doesn't matter about the medium, its the actual casting that will make or break a figure for me

Thanks Guys,
For this time it will be metal.
Everything is on the way.
I cannot change what ever now.
So I will sincerly think about of doing the next (if I will continue) in Resin. Or maybe just some Parts in Resin.

While it is more about the theme and quality of the subject for me I think that Adrian has got a point about the natural appearance of metal armour but if it comes to dynamic poses metal figures tend to bend over. In these cases I prefer resin - likewise thin parts usually can be better reproduced in resin for scale thickness.
Cheers, Martin
