its been a long time since i have painted a figure since early 80's
we had a local guy that was very good and inspiration and it was Henry Lion since then I have not seen anything similar to his type of painting that I'm might familiar with .

So I open to suggestions if there is any decent books to read
Also looking to replace the paint locker and looking for suggestions to replace dried and worn paint/brushes

Henri has been gone longer than I would like to remember. I have two copies of "My Way." One autographed and one a total mess. Nowadays I think your best source for painting instruction is the internet.jAn excellent place to check is figurines-tv.com. All in French but the visuals are worth a thousand words. Choose your poison and run a search on this site and Google for "oil", "acrylic", "humbrol"."Jo Sonja." and "miniatures'"

I think you can read alot on this forum. Its a book or magazine on its own.
Try the search, look at the beginners section and above all, start painting and asking questions.

Also be aware that there are 33 over the shoulder U-tube videos of Cartacci painting figures. Run search on "Cartacci." There is also a multiple part U-Tube video on Pepe Gallardo. In addition, Figurine-TV has a one-hour seminar with Marion Ebensberger-Ball in English. Priceless!
