Buongiorno,
dear miniature painters and - sculptors,
Roman just returned from Tuscany, Italy yesterday and is already writing this review of the truely beautiful event that was this years Monte San Savino Show.
Well, let's start with a video report first.
Roman planned to make many, many videos, interviews and videos from all that great miniatures, BUT he forgot the loading cable of the GoPro. Additional to that he wasn't able to find a media store in this small mountain village and all painter friends he asked weren't able to provide that strange cable which is needed for the GoPro. Stupid Camera! Well, a small and funny video was done, mainly with the GoPro and the mobile cam. We hope you enjoy!
The Weekend
Well, what can you say about the best miniature show in the world (Roman's oppinion)?
Everyone makes his own impressions when being there and so this review is only from Roman's perspective.
First of all: PEOPLE.
Monte San Savino Show is about the people, a big family of miniature painters from all around the world. It is just too crazy to explain and it is to many the main reason to go there and spent this wild weekend somewhere in Tuscany in this small mountain village.
Second. Organisation.
The staff around the Monte San Savino Show is just so wonderful. Every working to make the show what it is, does it with full force from the heart and you can feel that in every corner of this town. On Sunday's ceremony you can see the staff - in front row - Francesco Farabi and Luca Baldino - dead tired and exhausted, with reason. They - again - did a great job and made all their guests happy! Thank you so much for all your sweat, blood, energies, powers and your love! MSS Staff rocks!
Third. Food.
Roman has not more to say than: If you want to say "Italy" right, you have to say "Eatily". Nothing more to add to such great food you can eat in Tuscany.
Fourth. Athmosphere.
Again this year the italian november sun was our best friend. Beautiful weather made everyone happy and on every corner you were able to find people staring in the sun, with sunglasses of course.
Sixth. Miniatures.
So, so, so, so, so many! So, so, so, so, so many! So, so, so, so, so many! So, so, so, so, so many! So, so, so, so, so many! So, so, so, so, so many! So, so, so, so, so many! So, so, so, so, so many! All rooms were packed with wonderful miniature projects. The quality in each category was so high - it was just unbelievable. It was not easy to have a long stroll around the models as your head was easily to explode of the projects that were presented at this show. Sometimes it was even hard to seperate Master and Standard Categories. Great Stuff, really! So, so, so, so, so many! So, so, so, so, so many!

Roman is completly stuck in the Monte Jetlag now and we think that many others are too.
Safe travels to everyone. Arrive home safe and see you next year in Monte, of course!
