I recently received, a rather large 'Dwarf Bust', (245mm in height) from . 'Scibor Miniatures'. So I thought that I would give a quick simplistic review of it. The cost was, 97 Euro, Inc. postage, (Quite expensive).

I thought I would have a change of subject matter, away from the 'Historical', to get my 'Mojo', going again.

The first thing I noticed was the excellent, and sizable packaging! that this bust came in, there would be little chance of hiding this one, from, 'ones', wife/Partner, so beware. dwarf_warrior_udock_b_011.jpg

Both, the main bust, and the plinth are single casts, with minimal flash, and as such, have little in the way of mould-lines. The fitting of both, Bust and the Plinth, may require some very slight filing, but is generally very good. The incorporated detail of both of these really have to be seen to be appreciated.

The Hammer is in two parts, which may require some pinning. There are two designs on this hammer, front and back, so you have a choice of which you prefer!

The Horns, and Map-Roll, are again very well cast, and on separate spruces, both are highly detailed.

I have included a range of different pictures, to try and give an over-all impression of what you get for your money, and the general size of this piece! .. Apologies for the photography! ...

In summary a large, very well sculpted piece, with a huge amount of crisp detail, which lends itself to numerous colour options. A real focal point for any cabinet, depending on if this particular genre is for you!

Regards to all,

Mark

Nice review Mark. And so many options.....airbrush, paintbrush......roller :hilarious:
Seems like a lot of money until you realise how big it is!! And it does look to be well sculpted and cast.
Look forward to your SBS.............
