Hello! We are a brand new French miniature company called Raging Heroes and we've just released our first set of miniatures, in both 28 mm and 54 mm. With Gordy's permission (thanks!), we'd like to briefly introduce them to you.

Our first Command Group, a limited edition, has been designed to fit easily into any Dark Elf, Vampire, Chaotic or Demonic army. There's Asharah, the Heroine (who comes with 9 different accessories), Standard Bearers Eleriel and Alaniel and Musician Moloss and Minion:

This image shows our 3D sculpts. Our website shows actual casts of Moloss and Minion in 28 mm (metal) and 54 mm (resin) as well as the 3D-printed masters of the other two minis. Pictures of all cast minis are forthcoming.

We're also currently working on a Lord Demon/DarkElf/Vampire, a well as a Spirit of the Woods. This Spirit is the first of a series of similar looking minis that will cover nearly all types of armies. We're working on Angels, Demons, Elementals, and other supernatural forces. We'd love your feedback and suggestions as we're working on them.

Also, stay tuned for a big Dark Elf surprise coming in the next few days. If you have any questions or comments, we'll be happy to answer.

Thanks for the positive feedback!
Which machine was used to create those?
Sculpting is done mainly in ZBrush. A service provider is handling our 3D printing but the details are kept pretty much under wraps, for obvious reasons, so I'm hard-pressed to answer at this point in time. However, there is a fair amount of hand detailing done afterwards to ready the minis for casting.

The reason I am asking is because I have been researching different 3d printers for a while now. I plan to purchase one for my business but I always like to hear from actual users about their experience. I have been looking at Roland, Z Corp, Dimension and a few others. So far I have not made up my mind yet. I see that you are in France. Do you have your prints done in France as well? How rough are they when you get them and how much re-working do you need to do?

Sorry for not getting back to you earlier, I completely missed your query...
Basically, the kind of printer you'll want very much depends on your needs. Each printer has different specs, and that affects price. Similarly, various printers use various printing material, and depending on your needs, some may be more appropriate for you than others. For example, ZCorp will not do detailing sufficient enough for 28mm minis, not even sure if it's good enough for 54mm, however, they do have the option to print in colour, so for bigger sizes, it could be interesting...

We actually have our printing done in Asia, although our service provider is working with us to find alternatives that print with even more details. He also told us that it is so time-consuming for him to work on such small objects as our minis that he's not taking any order miniature order until further notice... So far, we do have to rework our minis by hand, a time-consuming process that we hope we'll be able to trim as time goes by.

Hope this helps :)
