Hello to everyone!

Here is my first historical mini ever. Your comments and critics are more than welcome.

With this oversize pictures I see a lot of things to correct... But still your point of view is welcome. By the way, sorry, the picture is sligthly over exposed!

Thanks

Mathieu, I think you've done an admirable job for this being your first military miniature. It looks like your whites may need a bit more contrast in places, although the photo may just be a little light.~Gary

Hello Mathieu like first historical piece to be good departure.
If I can say one critical I would recheck the eyes.

Good job and to make others and sends photo.

;) MAB

The picture over emphasize the highlights therefore the pants look more white... same for the jacket, the blue highlight is not that pronunced!

Thanks!

Thank you Maurizio. Having the sculptor of this wonderful piece comments is a real honour. And I agree that the eyes need to be retouched. It is actually the first thing I saw looking at the pictures.

Thanks.

Yep, definitely the eyes, and perhaps some wear on the boots, otherwise it looks darned good to me! 1st historical figure - I've been going for years and haven't reached this standard!

There is a glaze of brown both on the pants and the boots which are absorbed by the dominant color. I just bought my camera and need to go through the manuel fonction for the next pictures.

First historical mini yes but I have a few fantastic mini under my belt as well... So it is not my first mini ever!

Thanks for the comments!

Very nice Mathieu. I've wanted to paint this one myself but have never got around to it.
One of the Officers from G Troop Royal Horse Artillery who fought at Waterloo is buried in my home town. Just thought I would share that :)

Roger.
