A Fixture
Good evening fellow planeteers! As yesterday was the 535th anniversary of the Battle of Bosworth, I thought I'd share some pics of a little piece I did a couple of years ago. It is a 28mm metal and resin commemorative figure from the fabulous Perry Miniatures, showing the King emerging from his grave under the now famous Leicester car park, riding his destrier White Surrey. As usual, mostly painted with Humbrol enamels and acrylics.
Ì did change the horse's head and sword blade, replacing both with parts from the Perry's Wars of the Roses plastic box sets. I also dug out a hole in the base so that the figure appeared to be coming out of the ground.
The two standards were originally waterside decals from a company called Citadel Six, which I put onto brass sheet and completely painted over to to get the heraldic badges to look more realistic.
My Richard was a fun little project and shows the potential that 28mm figs can have outside of wargaming. I hope you like him! Regards Pete.
