That is very nice indeed!

Does the horse have a steel rod in the leg as I don't trust (any) large scale 75mm+ mounted "rearing horse" pose to defy gravity over the years (either) in resin or especially so if cast in WM.....?

Gary

Lovely figure but painting the required Heraldry at 75mm would be beyond me, so come on the guys with eyes get him bought and lets see this painted up.

True... how do people feel about using transfers for such intricate details?

Our tank/plane etc comrades use them as a matter of course, but how about 'us'?

I'm thinking of printing some transfers for a 1/12th samurai's e-gawa (which I don't think I'm up to painting with anything like precision  ):

I don't have any problem with somebody using decals, it's their model they can do as they please, getting them to work might be a tricky job, as unlike planes/afvs etc, they may have to follow quite complex shapes/creases etc.

I have read somewhere, about a fellow who use tranfer, fix it with varnish then paint over it

Friends!! Many thanks!!

You could also use etched brass, as patern
Here an interesting range
http://www.nimix.net/Heraldica medieval, romana y griega_ingles.htm

Yes, they would work but looking at them the correct combination of lions would take at least three sets and they don't seem to offer suitable fleur de lys

Here's a transfer/decal alternative (28mm but as they include horse trappings they may scale up?... pity no multiple lions passant (other than in the Rich1 set below).... but much cheaper, so worth a punt?

It's an amazing range which covers most eventualities... just a pity it's all 25/28mm
