BBC must have read your post Roger as your story is on National news. Just seen it on the news but they think it will be three months before they can decide if it is Richard.
They had a chap giving DNA to decide if he is actually 264th decendent of Richard,

Being on my doorstep so to speak I have been following this one closely, I am sure it was believed his body was thrown into the river Soar just outside the city centre hence the bridge there being called the Richard III bridge.

Interesting - thanks for the update. It would so weird to be this guy having to attend his ancestor, Richard III's funeral. I can understand why he is feeling a little strange. Great headine on the article too. Personally I hope it turns out to be the King as too many of these historical mysteries and surprise unveilings fizzle (no one let Geraldo Rivera near the remains!)

I do love a bit of archeology linking with real people. Hopefully he can finally be put to rest with the honour he so deserves. But.......
They'll all be after the burial rights, cashing in on him. Poor old chap.

Billy do Google maps check under carparks. People everywhere will be digging up old bodies, or digging up ugly old towns.
