Mary, originally they were selling at Euromilitaire for 160 euro each. Not far ago, I saw it available at redlancers.com , I just checked thier site. It is not there anymore.

Just curious, how much do you think it is worth now?

Hi Mary

I'm not sure how much you want to pay, but this figure will not be cheap, there was one on evilbay that went for £300, but if it's a figure you want, it would be worth holding out for one......

Dave

300 GBP is about $470 CDN at today's rate...that's quite a bit over my budget. I was figuring on about $300 to 350; then I'd have to add shipping to that, so you're right, it would be an investment. But I guess the value is significant as so few were made. It's unfortunate they didn't produce more, it's a superb piece that would be the crown jewel in anyone's collection.

That's going to be a hard one to find Mary. The fear was that these kits were going to end up hoarded in grey armies around the world. I think that has happened.

Mary another trap to look out for when tracking down this figure is the inevitable re-casts which are going to appear.
I know of one of them which went to Ebay was bought by a well known re-caster. So when one does suddenly appear for sale just be careful.
Check out the seller and their past sales, does it come in original box, what is the limited edition number and see proof of limited edition etc.
Re- casts will come onto the market just be ready to recognise them as the duds they are.

Thanks, guys. it looks like I'm getting one from a Planeteer who says he'll never get around to painting it, so I'm pretty happy...I never use ebay and if I did, it would only be through a link from a known PF member:)
Mary

My advice is to first send you photos of the soldier and ask for detailed information

Hello all,
Just wanted to say a veteran PF member very kindly sold me this figure:):). He had it in his grey army and said he will never paint it, and wanted it to go to someone who would appreciate it.
I am working on sketches of a diorama using Lionheart and Pegaso's 90mm mounted Crusader (see my review in Open Box forum). It will be a challenging, long-term project and I will keep you posted on my progress.
Thanks to all for your tips on acquiring this model, and if the 'donor' wishes to reveal himself, I'll leave that up to him. He knows I'm happy.:D
Mary

Hi Mary,

It's nice to hear that you managed to acquire this great kit, but regarding the idea of diorama - the Lionheart figure is 75mm and the Crusader you mentioned 90mm.

Regards,
Artur

Or, put the Crusader in the foreground and the Lionheart in the background - difference of figures size may be justified as a result of different perspective and distance distance between every figure and the diorama observer. :)
Anyway, I'm sure you'll be happy with the Lionheart figure as a owner of one I can confirmed that it's beautifully performed.

Cheers,
Artur

Mary,

Its airborne, glad you wanted this so much.

Knowing you like knights etc it was a pretty easy decision. I like the kit but it dont have an mp40 or an mg42 or for that matter a sten.

Enjoy

Stuart
