Hi RJ,

I think you nailed it now! Excellent.
May I ask what colours / mixes you have used? I have a couple of Indochina paras in my GA...

Karl

Thanks Karl! And all the others for the likes and following.

I use these colors from AK gen3.

Roughly 50/50 Olive and grey green. Mixing in buff to lighting it up to the right hue. I use some canvas to dull the color.
Green stripes are again olive. Brown stripes are red brown. Both straight from the bottle, with a little buss in the brown.
Lining is olive and ice yellow. Hope this makes sense.

Some progress

......what's the basework thought for him ?

sorry Nap, forgot to answer your question. Nothing fancy, just some field with grass and some dirt. I seen nice versions with the marston matting. I have some lying around, but chose not to use it.

Nice start

That capbadge possibly Cheshire Regt ....looks early 70's looking at jkt style

Great start on the pose ....are you adding a visor ? or possibly another figure ....suspect perhaps ?

Have fun

Following with interest

Happy benchtime

Nap

Thanks Nap.
No visor this time. Just the helmet.
And indeed early seventies. Just read Ken Wharton’s 1972, the bloodiest year. Still pretty speechless of what and why happened there in those days and after.
I thought to do a vignette with a riot ringleader being dragged off, but chose to do a single figure. The vignette idea is noted. Hope to find the motivation to that in the future.

Still working on the helmet. Drilling out, reworking en testfitting these CVC helmet set from Hornet.
Must do the trick to replicate the riot helmet.
