Apols if this is the wrong place for this - please feel free to point me in the right direction!

I work for an organisation in Nottingham and we're trying to find a miniature sculpture of Robin Hood to give as mementos to visitors. Any thoughts on whether there is something suitable out there that we could purchase (and have reproduced) or anyone who could take on the commission?

Any guidance gratefully received - there are surprisingly few Robin Hood mementos in existence!!

Thanks

What type of Robin Hood you looking for the Hollywood version i.e. Errol Flynn, Russel Crow, Kevin Costner or an authentic version of Robin Hood. How good do you want the memento to be? How many are you looking for and what material as well as size. Also commissions could be costly and many months to be fulfilled if it is to be sculpted and painted.

Just some questions that might have to be answered.

We're pretty open to suggestion. My vision was of a traditional Robin Hood in archer pose (similar to the statue outside Nottingham Castle) and probably around 90mm plus some kind of plinth. Numbers would depend on cost/ economies of scale but probably a minimum of 50 and materials - I'm not sure. It would be nice for it to be metallic I think so it looks like a quality gift, but not sure what the logisitics of this are. Can moulds and casting be done from an initial model fairly simply?

Thanks for your advice.

Hi Ruth, first welcome to the planet, if you look on my album page you will see a figure I sculpted some years ago of a Robin Hood based on the opening credits of the old Richard Greene T.V. series, and at the moment I am sculpting a re-vamped version based on Errol Flynn. Both figures are 90mm. Robin Hiid has always been a pet interest of mine.
Best wishes, Gary.

Thanks Roger , how do you actually get things into the Gallery or Album, I notice only a couple of older items of mine are in there, god knows how.

Before the forum was revamped there used to be an alphabetical list of members so it was easy to find I think it was in the V.Bench?
