Hi all.

I have this bust and I am about to start him, I have been after it for so long and I can't resist doing him, believe it or not he cost £5. A friend, John Brewer, saw him at a market and bought him for me.

So I really wanna do him justice, I have a couple of questions,

1, is the feathers on his crest valid all I have seen is a brush type affair, well in the few books I have?

2, I really fancy polishing the helmet so its nice and shiny, can I get away with that too.

Regards

Robin

five pounds, I say, five pounds!

What market? Where?

Fraid I can't answer either question! Are u going to try Dr Mike?

In terms of the feathers, I'd have to say ask Dr Mike. As for the polish of the helmet, I would think that if you were trying represent him in some sort of "formal" affair (parade, etc) that would be ok. But obviously in the field, it wouldn't be so pretty.

Good luck it's a nice looking kit.

Hey Robin,
I've seen a few illustrations of Centurians with feathers on their crest,And I'm sure that who ever sculpted the figure, had to do some research to back up his sculpture.

I kind of agree with Lou on the polish on the helmet, but I would immagine that since it is a bust on a pedestal that the polish look with be most apropriate.
It is a beautiful figure and I know you will do a fantastic job on it.
