Given the outstanding quality of painting by many PF members, I have been reluctant to post what few pieces I have done. So here goes with one I painted to give a mate for his 70th birthday a few years ago. Not the best effort, as I can see I needed to do more work on the highlights and shadows, especially the face, arms and legs. Nor are the eyes that great, and I have yet to be comfortable with weathering.

Just want to thank everyone whose work I have studied - truly inspirational - and those who have given advice, especially Mike the Kiwi (Mike Butler), Tony Dawe and Nap. You have all helped a great deal in improving my work. Sorry about the quality of the photos - iPhone images.

Regards
Chris

Otherwise from what I can see looks fine to me.

Mobo, Malc and Kev,
Many thanks for your kind words and encouragement. It is the first one I was happy with. Regarding the shield Kev, thank goodness for masking tape.
Warm regards
Chris

Nice work on the Legionary Chris, it all looks good to me. Also nice work on the bit of groundwork you created for the figure, sets it off nicely.
Cheers
