Hi Mike ,

Good to see this one painted ..one of many Seil busts I have in my gray Army .

From the pictures the highlighting on the lions pelt looks a little too much but the lion certainly takes over the bust ..very imposing and great teeth .

How did you find the bust as a build ? and what was your sequence of painting ?

Any chance of some bigger and close up pictures as well .

Thanks for posting

Thanks for the tips and comments I will make some improvements on the eyes and pelt.
Kevin,
This bust was and is a beast to put together. I assembled the roman and cheek plates. Next got the lion and lion legs (legs are a seprate piece) to fit together and fit on the roman. Assembeled the standard UH!. Primed the pieces. Painted the roman , added the lion (resin)to the roman and then added the lion legs glueing in place, the legs are metal and the fit was not good, so I had to fill a big gap on each side took 2 days to build it up and blend the putty into the lion cape. I am happy with it and like a challenge, but the next bust I do will be an easy one. The standard, when I add it will dress it up a bit. I have made a pin to hold the standard on the lion. Over all I like this piece and has been fun to get it out of the box.
more photos in a few days

I have completed this bust, added the standard and worked on the eyes and pelt. Had good light for photos (thats a problem in the Seattle area this time of year) I think I am finished with this one. Enjoyed assembling, painting and seeing it come together. Hope you like
Mike
