Just arrived today from Historex ; only ordered on Monday so very quick turn around.

This is my first purchase of a Romeo casting , overall quality is very good as you would expect from a MB creation but unfortunately the horse right front leg is malformed and arrived with the hoof broken off at the fetlock obviously a casting problem and poor quality control by Romeo ,fortunately History has another one and is sending me a replacement part .
One other point is there appears no reins with this casting which I find odd given how meticulous MB is in his sculpting ; not even a bit of foil ,so anyone here purchased this piece and found the same problem.

Hello Ron,

I have one in my grey army, bought when it first came out, well cast without flaws, but no reins, just a tiny piece of not very useful foil. This foil is very shiny, so better replaced by tin/lead foil or putty.

Succes!

No Reins ! yes very strange considering the cost.
The casting on mine is good but on closer inspection there is some detail missing on the horse furniture.
Historex have been very prompt at sending a replacement horse half which will arrive tomorrow I just hope it comes up to standard ,I didn't realise this was an older kit and in metal or I would not have bought it as my last 75mm pegso mounted hussar collapsed after a couple of years .

I know a lot of people have complained on here about Historex agents but I have been dealing with them since their first coloured catalog came out in the early seventies and never had bad service from them .
