Today i wanna show you this bust of the brand Romeo models.

It´s a very huge bust, and biggest shield.

These are all the pieces that will shape our bust.

As you can see the shield is almost as big as my hand.

The first package brings us all the little pieces as the spears, plumes, a part of a sword....

All good details and good metal.

Now the problem begins....
"Whats wrong with your eyes dude?"
The eyes of this miniatures are the worst I´ve ever seen in a bust.
When I saw it, I started to freak out a little...

I thought the body was ok,good detail, some stuff to fix as always, but....
When I started to put together the arms and the body, I realize that half of the arm is missing in the process of sculpt! when you try to fit the two parts, nothing works right... Very very scared now.

This are the hole package.
I´m very dissapointed with the quality of the bust. If I can keep the desire of painting the bust at this point, (thing that i don´t at all) so much work on sculpt are wainting me.

Hi,

It's a shame the quality of the casting. . . Not usual in romeo models...But their normal medium is metal, probably aren't very comfortable with resin.
My suggestion is that you talk with them. Send an e-mail, they have a nice costumers service, maybe they replace it. It's worth the try! I mean, is not an cheap piece, you are ought to have the best possible figure.

Regards
Pedro

I think the problem is not a particular case... I mean, The arm should fix and stay very close to the body once you fix it, but instead of that, you have a hole between the two parts.
Probably this is the reason that not much people have painting this bust.
I know Romeo is a very good brand, but this particular piece is not good enough.
Hope my thoughts about it help you guys.

The inside of the shield is a tuff cast yet it is good. Funny the arms/body were the problem. Thanks for showing as I didn't even know this existed.

Hi Saruxaxa,

Thanks for the look at this , I actually have seen thisand was not too happy ..why because of the casting blocks they are massive .yes we can expect them but this seemed excessive .

The Resin seemed a little strange as well in texture.

I am not too impressed by the packaging as well , it is a large bust but lots to deal with and its not cheap !!!!

It is very strange that Romeo Models not of an excellent quality in your figures, I have the bust and have not had problems, can that some piece has blemishes but I believe you exaggerate a few in your review.

Sorry to hear a somewhat negative review on this piece;it was on my want to get list.I'm not afraid to do a little doctoring as far as the sculpt goes;the piece looks like it may be worth it.In your pics the eyes "may''look a little funky but nothing that can't be fixed if you like the piece enough.Would like to see some better pics of the face as the casting gloss somewhat takes away from the true detail.
If you decide tackle this would appreciate pics with the casting blocks removed and a better look at the face and other details such as the arms and fingers.Anatomy wise, seems to look O.K.;but then again I don't have the kit in front of me and If I did I might be a little chapped also.
Thanks for spending the time and effort to post an excellent review....................Wayne..
