Hi Guys ,
Here is the second new Bust from Poilu Miniatures, based in Cheshire. Poilu is owned and run by Alex Williams, who originally had a range of figures called The Cheshire Volunteer. Alex informs me that this will be an occasional series of Victorian busts - Irish, Scots, Welsh etc. will follow. Best of luck Alex and welcome back.
Material : Resin
Scale : 200mm 1/9th
Sculptor : Alex Williams
Box Art : Alex Williams
The model comes boxed in a cardboard cube. There is a colour photo on the outside of the box with finished artwork. Inside the box there is an information leaflet in full colour which includes the medal ribbon colours. The figure parts are contained in clear plastic bags, topped off with bubble wrap to secure them in the box.
The model consists of 4 pieces in a gray resin , one being the torso with a separate head and foreign service helmet. There is also a resin pedestal base.
Sculpting is extremely well finished with excellent fine detail on Helmet plates, medals and collar badges .
There is no flash on the bust worth speaking of and the fit of all parts is excellent.
Conclusion:
This bust is well sculpted with really excellent fine details which will make it easy to paint. The box is a little on the light side, but this should reduce postage costs and as the parts are well packed this should adequately protect them during transit.
The bust costs £38 + P&P and payment can be made via paypal or cheque in sterling to
Poilu Miniatures PO Box 144, Frodsham, Cheshire, WA6 1 BF.
