Following this closely , a lot of detail to get painted right including the " snack " he holds

Sprayed the base colour on and painted in a few highlights/ shadows, outlined the main pieces of the uniform and started blocking in some of the other bits, some tidying up to do, before adding the 1st bits of the MARPAT scheme

Started on his Marpat, picked an easy shoulder to get to grips with some shapes, and cutting back some colours. Random dots to be added

1st phase completed, camelbak tube and handset cord built from various grades of wire. Next is the dog, to be painted in oils

That drumstick he's holding looks a bit too small for a dog's leg. Was it a Chihuahua?

once you get the idea of precisely copying the pattern out of your head its not to bad, random single, double lines and dots in some sort of repeat.
