Here's a preview of the commemorative bust I sculpted for the AMSS (Antwerp) 10th Anniversary show next March. The choice was rather obvious as Antwerp was Rubens' hometown.

It's a special edition of 100. Every contestant with 4 entries (or more) will receive a free bust.

Sculpting the bust is one thing but painting it in the style of the Master himself is another ball game. I'll leave that to the artists!

Marvellous! If I actually had 4 figures I'd be tempted to cross the channel for that!!

Thanks for sharing him with the rest of us

Do you think you can deliver 99 of them to the AMSS show and send the missing one to me? Come on, amigo - dinner on me when you cross the pond. What do you say? ;) ;) ;)

Excellent bust,Quang (y) (y) Makes me want to sign-up right this moment for the competition just to get my hands on it It'll be better than the top prize  Well done,my fellow modeller !Cheers Kenneth.

Thank you, guys for your kind words. ;)

Like I said, the hardest part is the painting: black hat and coat, white collar. Guess you'll have to study how Rubens did his blacks and his whites. For my part, I'd just sit back and watch!

Pete, you don't know how those AMSS people are. Their treasurer is worse than my IRS controller. So 100 they said, 100 it will be.

Unless...

Quang, only 100? Man I do like that. Are you sure it's only for the show? It would be fun to paint in the Ruben's style.~Gary

Hey,

and I'll be one of the 100 lucky guys to receive one. i signed up already in august to make sure i had one. I've seen this bust in the flesh (or should that be in the putty?) and it's even a lot better in real then pictures.

BTW Quang, have you done something with the hat?

see you at AMSS
